Due to serious health problems on September 1, 2010 I will be retiring from this business. I apologize to all my clients and potential clients but I want to spend time with my wife of 39 years, my five daughters, their husbands, my 8 grandchildren and help my church.
I have over 32 years of law enforcement related experience. In 1975, I joined the United States Air Force Reserve where I performed Security duties. I served approximately 9 months of active military service. While still in the USAF Reserves I started taking Criminal Justice classes at Napa College and completed the 832 P.C. Arrest & Firearms class and joined the Campus Police as a Reserve Officer serving approximately 20 hours per week. On October 14, 1976 while serving with the Napa College Police I was helping a stranded Motorist and was hit and critically injured. While rehabilitating from my serious injuries I took criminal justice classes, worked in Private Security and other employment to provide for my family. Since 1975, I have continued my studies in criminal justice then in 1989 I graduated the P.O.S.T. Basic Police Academy which was ranked number 3 in the Nation. The full time 4 month academy was Certified by the Peace Officers Standards and Training to work in the field of law enforcement upon completion. I then worked for the Department of Public Safety at Napa Valley Community College District until 1995 when I was injured and retired. While serving as a Public Safety Officer 1 at Napa Valley College in Napa, California, I was the Senior Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Car Accident Reduction Effort Coordinator, I responded to police, fire and medical calls, worked in bicycle patrol, investigated crimes, traffic collisions and incidents, enforced state and local laws and ordinances, attended court, taught stranger awareness at child care centers and local schools and at Fairs. Our department did not have a detective division so each Officer did their own investigations. A few of the advanced officer courses I completed were verbal judo, Bomb response class, First Responder Hazardous Materials Certification. In 2006, I entered the field of Private Investigation, where I work as a Private Investigator, Certified and licensed by the Department of Public Safety Standards and Training and run my own business, serve as a Board Member and Central Region Director for the Oregon Association of Licensed Investigators. We accept additional State appointed indigent criminal defense cases.
